Classic Cabbage Rolls

These classic cabbage rolls are a comforting and delicious meal, combining tender cabbage leaves with a savory filling of ground meat, rice, and spices, all baked in a flavorful tomato sauce.

  • 1 cabbage large head
  • 500 grams ground beef raw
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup cooked rice cooked
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt na
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika ground
  • 2 cups tomato sauce na
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Carefully remove the cabbage leaves and boil them until tender.
  3. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, cooked rice, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Place a portion of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf.
  5. Roll the leaves, tucking in the ends, to encase the filling.
  6. Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
  7. Pour tomato sauce over the rolls.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through.
